Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam with its long history, tradition, culture. It is well known for not only it’s the above features but also typical foods such as Pho, Bun thang, Cha ca La Vong and so on. 1. Pho (Noodle soup)

Stemmed from Hanoi, Pho has approved its position not only in Vietnam Cuisine but also World cuisine. Nowadays, Pho appears everywhere from street stall to high end restaurant chain –Pho 24. 3. Banh cuon (steamed rice cake)

If the French has famous delicious recipe made of wheat, egg and dairy products, Vietnam especially Hanoian take pride in their steamed crepe from rice flour and water. Most of the chefs make it right at the entrance door by steaming method.  Banh cuon is served with a mixture of fish sauce including sugar, lime.

A glass of beer or ice tea will definitely give your meal more flavors.

5. Bun Thang

Bun thang is one of the most delicious foods in Hanoi and one can hardly find it outside of the Old quarters or a few special restaurants scattering across the city. Bun thang is a harmonious blend of color- the yellow of sliced egg; the white of vermicelli; the off-white of chicken and the green of onions and herbs.
